started nearly 50 years ago when Antonio Adelfio and his wife
Margaret, opened up shop to create the 'trip of a lifetine" for
families in the Washington, DC area. 50 years later our mission
remains the same, to create custom-designed trips that will astound
and delight our clients.

A Search for Roots in Northern Italy Uncovers Old-World
Charm and Distant Relatives
When Ed Crisculo and his wife decided to travel to Italy to research thir family origins, they
contacted Guido Adelfio, (Pres. Bethesda Travel, LLC, Parent Company to Family Travel to
Italy). Taking advantage of Guido's expertise, (developed over 30 plus years in travel
planning and walking in the foot steps of his father, Antonio Adelfio who founded Bethesda
Travel in 1961) Guido helped the couple to do the research and find out which towns thier
family members had immigrated from and where he couldn't find the information, Guido
connected them with local Italian guides who could help them locate local relatives in Italy.
